📐🧱 Building Our Understanding of Area! 🧱📐
Our 3rd graders got hands-on with math by using LEGOs to create rectangular shapes and determine their area! Students explored how counting unit squares helps us find the area of a rectangle. We’re making math meaningful, engaging, and FUN—one LEGO at a time!💙🧡💙
🏁 Racing to Proficiency… and these Sea Kings are crossing the finish line with PERFECT SCORES! 🏆💯
These students earned 100s on their 9-weeks exams, and we couldn’t be prouder! Their hard work, dedication, and commitment to learning are paying off in a BIG way! 🏎️💨

During intersession, our 4th and 5th graders proved that math doesn’t have to stay at a desk! 📚➡️🏃♀️
Students got up, moved around, and put their skills to work during an interactive math scavenger hunt! 🔍➗✖️➕ They practiced their skills, solved problems, searched for clues, and discovered that there’s plenty of math fun to be found all around us!
Because when you’re Racing to Proficiency, sometimes you have to get up and chase the math! 🏁💙🧡💙
🍬🌽 A Little Candy Corn Competition! 🌽🍬
After reading The Candy Corn Contest during our intersession novel study, our second graders decided to put their estimating skills to the test! 🎃
A jar FULL of candy corn… one big question: How many pieces are in the jar?! 🤔🍭
Our Sea Kings made their best guesses, and then it was time to see who came closest! 🏆

🍎✨ Kindergarten Counting Café was the perfect way to wrap up our Apple Unit! ✨🍎
Our Kindergarten friends have been busy learning, counting, building, and creating! They celebrated mastering their numbers 1–10 during the first nine weeks by practicing with math manipulatives, counters, and pattern blocks. They even put their skills to the test with Color & Shape Bingo! 🔴🔺
Then it was time to put their engineering skills to work! 👷♀️👷♂️ Students used teamwork, problem-solving, and a little trial and error to construct towers strong enough to hold a basket of apples. They also explored measurement with the question, “How many apples high?” 🍎📏
And what’s an Apple Unit without a little creativity? Our Sea Kings made homemade apple play dough and wrapped up the week with a delicious treat—apple pie nachos! 😋🍎
From counting and measuring to building and creating, these little learners had a week full of hands-on learning and apple-themed fun! 💙👑🏁
